One2One’s Philosophy

Our Personal Training philosophy incorporates and represents the totality of fitness. The human body, as we know it, is a complex and multifunctional organism on a variety of levels (e.g., physically, emotionally etc). Addressing the physical aspect alone requires a variety of training approaches for it to function optimally.

Fitness, to the Personal Training profession, is not just a slim waist and sculpted muscles. It is also:
  • A strong and healthful cardiovascular and respiratory system;

  • Supple joints and flexible musculature that enables a full and steady range of motion;

  • Muscle endurance which oversees the body’s ability to perform repetitive tasks over various duration;

  • Muscular strength to cope with demanding loads;

  • Core stability of the central trunk muscles (abdominals and back) to enable sound and optimal body posture and limb/joint alignment;

  • Balance which promises a more steady body on less steady surfaces;

  • Speed and agility to enable the body to react not only quicker, but more securely.

Not to forget, total fitness is incomplete without mental fitness. We believe nothing is achieved on a physical level without first being attended to on a cognitive level. Neglecting any single aspect of total fitness will sabotage an individual’s goals and desires.

Please note: The success and results associated with any exercise/fitness training programme is dependent on your level of personal commitment and dedication to the exercise programme and to any other suggestions and/or directions provided by the Personal Trainer.
